COMMITTEES
We are always looking for active members to be a part of our committees! Committees are a vital part of the club, as they take pressure off of the officers while directly involving club members in the club's decision making. Kiwanis Family Relations Committee
The Kiwanis Family Relations Committee shall work with the Program and Project Committees activities with Kiwanis and Circle K (if one exists in the area) and shall see that the membership its sponsoring Kiwanis Club are cognizant of all areas of each organization thereof.
Program Committee
The Program Committee shall plan and present programs at all regular meetings, club inductions, and inter-clubs with Key Clubs and other service groups in the school and community, unless otherwise directed by the president. The committee shall arrange for a suitable place for club luncheons and see that the space occupied is made orderly after each meeting.
Project Committee
The Project Committee shall formulate worthwhile activities, and upon approval by the principal, shall recommend them to the club. The projects adopted by the club shall be initiated and completed under the direction of the Project Committee with the aid of the club membership.
Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee shall be responsible for informing the public of the Key Club’s activities and goals through the use of articles, photographs, the local newspaper, talks with school officials, radio and television.
Social Committee
The Social Committee shall plan the social activities of the club, such as banquets honoring the fathers and mothers of the members, dances, etc., and entertainment for club meetings.
Membership Development Committee
The Membership Development Committee shall devise effective plans to obtain new members on a regular basis to provide the necessary manpower for an effective program of service.
Major Emphasis Committee
The Major Emphasis Committee shall plan projects and activities promoting and supporting the Key Club International Theme and Major Emphasis programs during their administrative years.
* Committee Chairman for the 2011-2012 school year will be appointed at the discretion of the President, if deemed necessary.
** Committee duties will fall to the Reporting Officer listed under each committee, where applicable.
